1989 GMC --$2500 OBO
This pickup was bought new in the winter of 1988-1989. It spent two years on the farm and then moved to Manhattan, Ks with Terry Kastens until 2001. In 2001, a rebuilt motor, transmission and radiator were all put in (approx. 125,000 miles). At that point in time, the pickup came back to the farm. In 2006, we put another rebuilt transmission in it which has under 1000 miles on it. The front tires were new in 2005 and the rear tires were put on new in 2006 (maybe have 3000 miles on them). Currently, the pickup has about 155,000 miles on it and is mechanically in excellent condition. As with many GM pickups from the late 1980's, early 1990's, the paint has flaked off pretty severely. There is a little bit of rust damage on the fenders and the cab corners. The hood is also crumpled up a little bit right in the middle, but not enough to affect opening/shutting.
Specs: 350fi, called a "light" 3/4-ton, automatic tranny with overdrive, 4x4, long box, AC, AM/FM/Tape with equalizer
Picture of drivers side. We did have the pickup sparkling clean, but as the picture also shows, it's been a long, muddy winter. Notice the paint flaking problem (noted above) especially in the drivers door and front fender.
Picture of front and passenger side. Notice crumpled hood right at the nose.
Rear tires are basically new (and pretty aggressive), although not very visible there is some rust starting in the fender above the tire.
The interior is very clean. We pulled off the seat cover and it basically has a brand new OEM seat in it. Everything works, but the AC requires recharging every year.
A picture of the seat.
Picture of dash board. No obvious cracking or surface damage.
