Lot's of planting delays due to weather this spring so I thought I would take the time to update the website. I've added a new top level theme of "What's Going On". This page will be used to show what kinds of activities are going on at a given time period. This page will be the most actively updated page on the site and hopefully I can put up pictures and the like multiple times throughout the active growing season. My goal is to use this page for crop pictures, equipment pictures as well as a host of other pictures of interest. During the winter, I will take the materials from this page and integrate them into the more static and basic information pages on the site. I need to figure out an easy way for folks to let me know if they want to recieve an email from me whenever the web site is updated. I'll look into that.

Ok, I'm finally through with round two of edits and corrections, so I think it's ready to go online. I've still got a lot of stuff to get integrated in as well as some areas where a lot more has to be accomplished. I especially want to add a lot of items to the farm history page. If all goes well, I'll be updating some parts of the website often (like the pictures area). Please feel free to email me with any questions, comments and/or suggestions regarding the website.

Wow! Two years went by very quickly and it seems our website is grossly out of date. Over the past week I have done a major update of the website and I don't think a single page was left untouched. I've added many new pages and filled in some of the blank pages from the previous site. I'm not going to list every change I made but rather some of the highlights and new stuff

The Downloads page has been updated. This page contains downloadable Adobe PDF files of presentations made during the 2008-2009 time frame.

Most of the sub-pages within the Farm Information section have been updated and/or created.

I still have the Pictures page to build and I'm debating how best to do this. Over the next couple of weeks, I (and others) will be proofreading the site for both content and grammatical errors.

Updated the winter of 2006-2007 page. New pictures and information.
Got the For Sale page done and updated.
Got the Research page started and some files put up.

I've finally got the website online! Since January 1st, we had another 10+" of snow and we were without high speed Internet until February 3rd (a long story). The snow is still here and still deep. We are going on 50 straight days of 4x4 only travel on our gravel roads. If anyone wants to help fix pasture fence this spring, please contact us.

This whole website is new! Back to back winter snow storms have finally given me enough time to design and begin building the Kastens Inc. website. Although in the plans for many years the last website I build was over 8 years ago, thus I had a lot of relearning to do and needed some isolation to tackle some new learning curves. This website will be a work in progress as I hope to ultimately document every activity of the farm on it at some point. I would enjoy hearing any comments and/or suggestions everyone has regarding the new website.
